CellarMaster&Mor really know what they are doing when it comes to wine investment and as for customer service ... they deliver it with extra sparkle.” Anthony McCarten, BAFTA winner & Academy award nominee.
Born in Munich he moved to Ireland to work as the personal Sommelier for Dr Michael Smurfit at the prestigious K-Club in Kildare. From there he went on and joined The Gleneagles Hotel. Over a period of five years he became Head Sommelier and responsible for the beverage services in the resort.
After a year at Kinnaird House, a Relais & Chateaux, Max decided to take the opportunity to fulfil a lifelong desire to start CellarMasters&Mor. It has always been imperial for him to put the customer in the centre of his attention and with his company he excels this ambition. Together with former colleagues he now offers his knowledge of the wine and hospitality industry combined with his 5 star pedigree and a strong sense of perfection.
Late in 2013 after three successful years trading, CellarMasters&Mor brought Co-founder Anne Schäflein on board to be fully immersed as part of the team. Having 18 years in top-end hospitality, Anne brings a wealth of experience. In her role of Strategic Director she combines her vocation to make people happy with the bespoke services CellarMasters&Mor offer. Anne’s career in luxury hotels started out in her native Germany, followed by time spent in Ireland, England and for the last decade, Scotland, heading up wonderful properties including the Relais & Chateaux’s Kinnaird House & Isle of Eriska, working in various roles over a four-year period at the celebrated Gleneagles Hotel.
